Without hesitation, I would recommend Alana to any party looking to source top quality talent or is top talent looking to make your next move the best one yet.
I had the opportunity to meet Alana in the winter of 2019 as I was embarking on the next move in my career. For this next move, I knew I would need to find a trusted business consultant who could help me navigate the dynamic landscape of a job search. I searched reviews of recruiters and career coaches and became compelled by the many honest and genuine reviews about those who had worked with Alana.
After our initial phone call, I knew she was someone that could help me navigate the job market and find the best place for my talent. Alana was genuine, honest, and approachable. She helped me fortify a value-based mindset, one where every party involved was in a win-win outcome. Alana's coaching and feedback provided me with steadfast clarity in the moment, along with the ability to take a 10,000-foot view.
Over a few months, we had some great conversations, and she provided me helpful coaching. She offered me options on ways to handle unique situations and challenged my way of thinking. Most importantly, the feedback was presented in a way that was best suited to my personality and was actionable. When I put the feedback into action, it yielded immediate results. What it created was a feedback action loop that inspired confidence and also created a desire for new feedback to find yet a higher gear in my search.
Alana's coaching yielded many results. From my personal growth to professional development, the feedback received is timeless, practical, and results-driven. Choosing to act on her suggestions and feedback yielded a total of 7 offers in a 14-day time frame, allowing me the gift to choose the best offer for myself and my family along with the best fit for the company. Also, it provided me with a professional mentor who I hold in high regard.
Without hesitation, I would recommend Alana to any party looking to source top quality talent or is top talent looking to make your next move the best one yet. Searching for a job/talent is stressful for all parties involved, as the impacts of the choice affect both revenue and team chemistry. If you put Alana's actionable suggestions into play, you will find confidence knowing you have the clarity of knowing your values, developed skills, and a trusted advisor to make your search a successful and meaningful one.

Recruiting is perhaps the most difficult, yet important, challenge facing any new company. It was definitely the thing I underestimated the most as a first time founder. We desperately needed help and Alana came very highly recommended through a trusted advisor. Those looking for a quick "fix" should probably look elsewhere as Alana's program dives deep and builds a true process from the ground up. It goes without saying that this is hard work and requires real buy-in. For us, Alana's workshop went way beyond recruiting and was a true turning point for our company. Before you can really be effective at recruiting you have to understand the mission, vision and values of your company, which was something we had struggled to discuss as a team until our weekend with Alana. Once we had a good understanding of who we were and what we wanted, we were able to start learning about the process that would help us attract and close those candidates. Throughout my career i've always looked at recruiting from mine and the company's perspective but never until Alana did I think about things from the candidates perspective. What did they want from a job, what drove them, what made them happy, etc... The cost of one bad hire, culturally and monetarily, could be huge for an early stage company so it's incredibly important to be confident that the candidate is right for you and that they really want to work for your company. You can't be sure about the latter if you don't understand their "drivers". Additionally, in a competitive hiring market, how professional and enjoyable your recruiting process appears to a candidate can be a huge deciding factor on whether or not they want to work for your company. Why would anyone be excited to work at a company when multiple people came in unprepared and asked the same questions? If you can't coordinate interviews properly why should anyone believe that you can execute your business efficiently. All in all, these are things I never thought about before Alana but they are clear as day to me now. The truth is, recruiting is really really hard. It's also the most important part of any business, your company is only as good as the team you build around it, which is why I find it crazy that so many companies "wing it" or look for easy shortcuts instead of rolling up their sleeves, invest in developing a process and do the hard work it requires. If you're serious about doing it right, then Alana is the perfect person to guide you and your team through the process. I'm positive that by the end of it you'll look back and be baffled by how you operated before her.

Alana recently hosted a weekend-long workshop with our company to help kickstart our recruiting and hiring efforts. What was initially billed as a three-day event do more-clearly define our practices around finding and bringing new talent on board ended up being so much more. Alana's approach is not only informative and enlightening on the recruiting and hiring fronts, but perhaps even more importantly, resulted in our organization challenging itself to really define who we are, who we want to be, and as a result, who we are looking for. Both during the workshop itself and before/after, Alana was 100% dedicated to making the entire team primed for success. Her invaluable feedback, genuine approach, and fierce drive to share her wisdom has made every single employee at our company much-better off across the board. Not only did our group grow its ability to source talent, but also, came to a better understanding of what our company is striving to achieve. Our workshop and experiences with Alana will no doubt go down in history as one of the more important moments we have had as an organization.

Alana is one of the best recruiters I've had the pleasure of working with. She is a great partner to engineering, and digs deep to understand the needs of our specific roles. She is consistently proactive and is able to fulfill a deep pipeline to deliver (and often times over deliver) on our staffing needs.

I can not thank enough to Alana for the help and guidance. I talked to her when I was having hard time talking to the recruiter. I was going back and forth during my negotiations and had finally given up. Alana came to the rescue, not only she was able to help me taking control of the conversation with the recruiter, she was also influential in getting me what I wanted as part of my package. It was absolutely amazing to see how things flipped under her guidance. I will strongly recommend to anyone looking for career advice, counseling or any sort of guidance related to the interview. SHE IS AWESOME

I had the fortune to work with Alana at GoPro, where she recruited both for Engineering and IT. Both in Hyper ramp mode. We in IT hired some 30 people in less than a year, which would not have been possible without the daily dedication to Alignment, Quality and Results that Alana brought to our Partnership. She is a Star that stands out among Star's and I would be most delighted to work with her again.

Alana and I worked together @ Medallia for about a year or so and her impact on the company was, simply put, transformative. We are at the heart of Silicon Valley. Recruiting is tough around here even for big mammoth companies like Facebook, Google, Netflix, etc. Alana helped us first figure out who we are to only then figure out who we were looking for. I'd love for our paths to cross again, I cannot recommend her more!

Alana is one of the best senior technical recruiters I have known. Her ability to spot talented individuals and drive the recruiting process is greatly appreciated. She would call me up 24/7 to ensure that next steps were handled in a timely fashion. Very smart, very diligent.

Alana is remarkable at what she does! We had her come into our organization to help us hire and retain better employees. We got a lot more than we asked for. She is regimented in her process yet assimilates quickly to the organization: he team felt immediately comfortable with her which allowed for immediate learning. The first day, we worked as a team on the core foundation of Recruiting: our values and vision, what we are truly looking for in regards to the position and how to identify what the candidates "Drivers" are so that we can make the best hire possible. We have been in business for 19 years and I think we forgot some of the values we possess along the way. This was an eye opening session! She had the team excited and working together to rejuvenate the core values and vision that we all strive for on a daily basis for our customer. This is where we developed the “Formula” that solidified how to identify what drives others, the candidates that are coming in, in order for our company to be able to identify whether or not we can offer new candidates a long term opportunity. Also, the team was unified based off of the identification of must-have's and nice to have's in regards to what is truly needed so that hiring teams are clear from day one rather than being detached throughout the process which could only equal not hiring the right people. Day two, she had us work on how we were to restructure our hiring procedures. During this process, I really wondered why someone would want to work at our organization. After she worked with us to discover and create the best process for us, it made sense as to why someone would choose us over our competitors. Our new process was inviting and organized where applicants feel comfortable throughout the process. This allows us to find those perfect employees for our organization. Day three, was interesting. She knew our individual personalities from only working with us for only a couple of days. She worked individually with us on our weaknesses and helped us hoan in on them so as to exploit our individual strengthens to help us build a stronger team and to build on our values and vision. Also during this day, she had a unique process that I had never heard of before whereas live candidates were brought in in order to integrate and fully grasp the learnings of day one and day two. This I was not excepting this at all. The foundation of our recruiting function was altered and made to become unified and strong for the prosperity of current and future employees as well as the company as a whole. Thank You Alana!

My first manager once said "I'd rather tame a wild stallion than kick a dead horse." I love working with Alana, because she's a stallion. She is quick to capture the essential needs of a position and develop a sourcing strategy. She has a great nose for talent and is always on top of the next play, proactively driving hiring managers. She's quite skilled at closing candidates by understanding their needs and expanding their focus beyond title and compensation to consider how the opportunity aligns with their dreams and brings transformative growth, … and then presenting the offer when the candidate is ready to accept. In short, she's an A+ recruiter.
