First off, Alana is a highly skilled professional with significant background and experience. She was very organized and structured in her presentations and was also a magnificent facilitator for collaborative discussions. Alana provided us a collaborative workshop over a few days enlightening us about many facets of recruiting (abridged list below): 1) Defining ourselves: culture, mission, values 2) Really understanding and defining what role, skillset, and qualities to look for in a candidate 3) Conducting successful phone and onsite interviews 4) How to debrief and assess candidates This workshop fundamentally changed the company’s approach to recruiting, which is ultimately the most important component to successfully growing a company. The impact of Alana’s workshop transcended beyond recruiting as several other areas of the company were positively impacted: 1) There was newfound sense of unity and alignment after collaboratively defining our culture and values leading to stronger belief in ourselves and the company mission 2) Overall company collaboration and communication improved substantially as we had learned a lot about each other during the workshop 3) This workshop made for fantastic practice in creating structure and building a process around recruiting. We then applied these principles and a similar approach to create structure and build process in other areas of the company Overall this was a fantastic workshop and highly recommended for growing companies, aligning a workforce, and creating significant improvements beyond recruiting.
